Fosters Save Lives!

Have you ever wanted to help a homeless animal but felt unsure about a lifelong commitment or the financial responsibilities? Fostering is the perfect way to make a life-changing difference without the cost or permanence of adoption. At Dogs & Cats Forever, we provide all the medical care and supplies you may need, including donated food and litter. All you need to offer is a safe, loving space for these animals to thrive.

Who Needs Fosters? We are in urgent need of fosters for all kinds of animals, but especially:

  • Kittens and mother cats: These animals need a quiet, calm environment to grow and bond before they’re ready for adoption.
  • Bottle-feeding fosters: If you have experience with orphaned kittens, we need your help! Young, abandoned babies require round-the-clock feeding and care.
  • Shy or scared adult animals: Some pets have only ever known life in a home, so the shelter environment can be stressful and overwhelming. Foster homes provide a comfortable setting to help these animals regain confidence and prepare for their forever families.

Why Fostering Matters Young puppies and kittens, who cannot yet be vaccinated or spayed/neutered, cannot stay in the shelter. Foster homes are vital to saving these vulnerable animals. Additionally, fostering provides the socialization and one-on-one attention that nervous or overlooked animals need to shine.

Is Fostering Possible if I Have Other Pets? Absolutely! Fostering young babies often means keeping them separate from your other animals, but it’s as simple as closing a door. A spare room, office, or even a bathroom can become a cozy sanctuary. Dry bathtubs even make excellent playpens for kittens and puppies!
