Scheduling a Surrender Appointment

• By Appointment Only: Surrenders are accepted by appointment only due to our limited intake capacity as a no-kill shelter. Appointments are subject to space availability and cannot be guaranteed.
• How to Schedule:
  
  1. Call us at 772-489-5454. Our volunteers will do their best to take your call during business hours. If we miss your call, please leave a detailed message including:
     
     • Type of pet (dog, cat, etc.)
     • Breed & approximate weight
     • Age
     • Reason for surrendering
     • Origin of the animal (e.g., another shelter, private home, etc.)
     • Time frame in which you need to surrender your pet
  2. If we can accommodate your pet, we will schedule an appointment and provide further instructions.
• Important Notes:
  
  • Animals previously adopted from our shelter must be returned to us as per our adoption contract. Pets will be scanned for our microchip upon arrival to confirm.
  • To increase your chances of scheduling an appointment, we recommend calling several days or weeks in advance. Waiting until the last minute may result in delays or unavailability.

Bring Documentation

If an appointment is scheduled, please record the name of the staff member you spoke with, along with the date and time of your call. Bring this information with you to ensure your appointment matches our records.
