Even if you don\u2019t have the time or space to adopt, sponsoring a cat\u2019s adoption fee helps bridge the gap between a homeless cat and their new family. Many adopters even choose to pay it forward by sponsoring another cat\u2019s adoption fee after adopting a previously sponsored feline. Cats with prepaid adoption fees proudly display a Guardian Angel sticker with their sponsor\u2019s name on their room door and in their online profile.<\/p><div><hr \/><\/div><p><strong>Giving Cats Away for Free? Ensuring Good Homes<\/strong><\/p><p>The only difference between adopting a sponsored cat and a non-sponsored one is the fee. All potential adopters must still meet our adoption policy, complete a contract, and fulfill our requirements. Let us know you\u2019d like to become their Guardian Angel.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Sponsor at PetSmart<\/strong>:<br \/><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Visit one of our <strong>PetSmart locations<\/strong> in Vero Beach or Port St. Lucie.<\/li><li>Choose a cat on display to sponsor. If a volunteer isn\u2019t available, let the PetSmart staff know you\u2019d like to pay a cat\u2019s adoption fee, and they will gladly assist you.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong>Sponsor Online<\/strong>:<br \/><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Browse the cats on our website and find one you\u2019d like to sponsor.<\/li><li>Call our shelter at <strong>772-489-5454<\/strong> (select option 2 for cats) to pay the adoption fee over the phone.
